WordPress Hosting & Care

Managed WordPress Hosting & Care Plans. Hand It Off, and stop thinking about it.

If your site is on a shared host with a ticket queue, and every WordPress update arrives as a small weekly worry, this is the alternative. Fully managed hosting from a Toronto WordPress developer who actually built the site, with security, daily backups, monitoring, and maintenance of the server, WordPress and every plugin, all on one fixed monthly package. Every update is tested before it goes live and checked by a person afterwards, never blindly pushed. Design, development and content changes are handled separately as support work, so the package is exactly what it says it is.

What's included

Everything in the package, nothing as an add-on

Most hosts charge extra for the things that actually matter: backups, security, and someone paying attention. Here it's all in from day one. No bolt-ons, no tiers, no surprises on the invoice.

Security & firewall

A firewall, malware scanning, protection against brute-force login attempts, and two-factor authentication on every account. Threats are stopped before they reach the site.

  • Automated malware scans and blocklist monitoring
  • Brute force protection on login and admin
  • Known and suspicious IPs blocked
  • Two-factor authentication enforced

Automated backups

A full backup every day, stored away from the hosting server, with one-click restore. Going back to any previous version takes minutes, not days.

  • Daily backups stored off-site
  • One-click restore to any previous version
  • A snapshot taken before every update
  • Backup logs available on request

Performance & caching

A global CDN, server-level caching and image compression, configured for your site rather than left on a generic preset.

  • Global CDN for fast delivery everywhere
  • Page and object caching configured
  • Image compression and WebP conversion
  • Core Web Vitals monitored post-launch

Uptime monitoring

Your site is checked around the clock, and I’m alerted the moment anything changes, so I’m usually looking at it before anyone else has noticed. No ticket queue, and no explaining your site to a stranger.

Plugin & core updates

Every WordPress core, theme and plugin update is checked for compatibility, tested on staging, then applied, and I look at the live site afterwards. That’s how updates are meant to work, and it’s why I don’t automate them.

"I'm really happy with the website speed, a great upgrade from my old supplier"

Built on WPMU Dev not shared hosting

The infrastructure is WPMU Dev’s managed WordPress hosting, with its Hummingbird (performance), Defender (security), Snapshot (backups) and Smush (images) tooling and uptime monitoring, configured by me for each site rather than switched on and left.

Hummingbird
Performance optimisation, caching, and asset management
Defender
Security hardening, firewall, and malware scanning
Snapshot
Automated off-site backups with one-click restore
Smush
Bulk image compression, WebP conversion, lazy loading
Advanced Security
Threats are blocked before they reach your site
Uptime Monitor
24/7 uptime checks with instant alert notifications

Hosting packages

WordPress Maintenance & Care Plans. Simple, all-inclusive, monthly.

One package, quoted per site. Everything above is in it. What varies is the size and complexity of the site, not the feature list.

Agency

White-Label WordPress Hosting for Agencies.

The same package, resold under your brand. You invoice your client, I invoice you.

Everything in the package, white-labelled
Multi-site management for your whole client base

Quiet, predictable,
and taken care of

Most WordPress problems don't arrive suddenly. They build up through missed updates, ignored warnings, and small things left for later. Maintenance is in every package because reliability comes from someone paying attention every week, not just from good servers.

What I take responsibility for

  • Controlled WordPress core, theme and plugin updates
  • Watching for errors, breakage or instability
  • Sorting small things out before they become big ones
  • Dealing with anything unexpected calmly and quickly
  • Keeping the site stable and predictable, year after year

The benefit to you

  • Fewer urgent messages, from your team or your client
  • Updates that go in without drama
  • Clear ownership after launch, no ambiguity about whose job it is
  • No reactive firefighting eating into your week
  • Long-term stability without you having to think about it

"Warren is always on hand, nothing is ever too much trouble for him and he puts his own creative touch to it all."

Common maintenance questions

What does "hands-off" maintenance actually mean?

You're not expected to monitor updates, review logs, or respond to small issues. I handle routine maintenance quietly in the background, and you only hear from me when something needs your attention.

Do you update everything automatically?

No. Updates are handled manually and tested before they're applied. Blindly auto-pushing updates is one of the most common causes of site breakage, so every update is checked for compatibility first, and I look at the site afterwards.

How is maintenance different from hosting?

Hosting is the infrastructure: the server, the CDN, and uptime. Maintenance is the application layer, keeping WordPress itself healthy and stable as the platform and its plugins change over time. My package covers both.

Can this be white-label for agencies?

Yes. I operate fully behind the scenes under your agency's brand. Your client receives your invoices, sees your logo, and has no idea I exist, unless you want them to.

Emergency support

Site down or hacked on your current host? Call it in.

If your site is somewhere else and this is a bad week, I can help. Fast-turnaround emergency work with clear communication throughout: no upselling, no drama, a fix and then a conversation about how to stop it happening again. If your site is already on my package, none of this applies to you; anything urgent is handled as part of it.

Hacked site recovery
Malware removed, security patched and hardened against reinfection, with a plain report of what happened.
Critical performance failures
A site that's ground to a halt after an update or a traffic spike, diagnosed quickly and brought back to speed.
Emergency hosting migrations
If your current host has let you down, I can move the site onto managed infrastructure with minimal downtime.
Plugin conflicts & white screens
An update that went wrong, a front end that's stopped rendering. I trace the conflict, roll it back cleanly and get the site live again.

For agency partners

Add managed hosting
to your agency's offer

Most agencies hand clients to GoDaddy or SiteGround at launch and hope for the best. This package is one you can resell under your own brand at your own margin, with me behind it. I stay invisible, or I’m the person your client calls, introduced however you like. How I work with agencies.

Completely invisible if needed: Your client sees your logo and receives your invoices.
You set the margin: I quote you a wholesale rate; you price it as you see fit.
Scales with your client base: Two sites or twenty, the process is the same.

Completely invisible if needed
I work under your brand. Your client sees your logo, receives your invoices, and has no idea I exist unless you want them to.

Whether it's two sites or twenty, the process is the same. Multi-site management is handled efficiently on my end.
Common questions

What people usually
ask about hosting

01 Can you migrate my client's site from their current host?

Yes. Migration is included in the package and also available on its own. I handle the full move: files, database, DNS, and a final check that everything works before the old environment is touched.

02 What happens if something goes wrong with an update?

A pre-update backup is always taken first, so rollback is fast and clean. I also test updates on staging where possible before applying to live. If something does break, which is rare, I’m on it immediately, not waiting for a support ticket queue.

03 Is there a minimum contract length?

No. Month-to-month is the default. If you want to commit to a longer term for a better rate, that’s an option, but I don’t lock anyone in. Good service should be reason enough to stay.

04 Can my client access their own WordPress dashboard?

Yes, they get full admin access. The hosting sits behind the scenes; they edit content and manage the site exactly as they would anywhere else.

05 How is this different from just using Kinsta or WP Engine directly?

You can get great infrastructure from both, but you’re still managing it yourself. What I provide isn’t just hosting, it’s active care. Updates are researched and tested. Performance is tuned specifically for your site. Security is monitored with eyes-on review, not just automated alerts.

06 Do you support WooCommerce or membership sites?

Yes. WooCommerce, LMS platforms, membership plugins, I’ve managed them all. High-transaction or dynamic sites get specific caching and performance configurations that static sites don’t need.

07 Can you host a site you didn't build?

Sometimes. I’ll look at how it was built, the code, the plugin choices and the general philosophy, and if it’s close to how I work, I’ll take it on. If it isn’t, I’ll say so, and usually suggest what would need to change first.

Ready to hand off
the hosting headache?

Whether it's one site or ten, a quick conversation is all it takes to work out the right package and get everything moved over cleanly.
